Why a Wolf range hood has no fault codes
A Wolf range hood — Pro Wall (PW/PWC), Pro Island (PI), V-Series wall, island or ceiling (VW/VI/VC), pro liner (PL) or downdraft (DD) — is a blower, a light and a control, so it has no fault-code table and is diagnosed entirely by symptom. The only text the V-Series displays is a filter-clean reminder, not a fault. The FG and FC maintenance reminders
On a V-Series hood, FG appears after about 100 hours of use on a vented installation to remind you to clean the grease filters, and FC appears on a recirculating installation to remind you to clean or replace the charcoal filters. After cleaning, holding the DELAY pad resets the reminder and the display shows FF to confirm. These are maintenance prompts, not faults — and note there is no “F6” on a V hood; an apparent F6 is a misread FG.

A blower that will not run can be an unseated motor plug, while a humming motor with worn bearings runs but struggles. Fan noise usually means loose screws, debris or a misaligned blower wheel. Lights and fan both dead point at a fuse, the breaker or the switch.
