Wolf cooktop model families
Wolf cooktops are drop-in surfaces in four technologies — the first thing to identify in any Wolf cooktop repair. What the technology means for service

Identifying which model you own — CI, CE, CG or CT — tells a technician whether a repair involves a coil and power board, an element and relay, or a burner and valve, and the framed (T) versus flush (TF) suffix decides whether the glass sits in a thin frame or installs level with the counter.
Reading the model and where to find it
The rating plate is on the underside of the cooktop and may require lifting the unit. Record the full model string before booking so the correct coil, element, burner, switch or glass top is matched. Remember the ICB rule: a catalogue ICB form is dropped on the consumer SKU.

The choice is technology first, then width. Induction suits cooks who want the fastest, most precise heat and the easiest cleanup and own flat magnetic cookware; electric radiant suits a smooth glass surface with no cookware restriction; sealed gas suits an open flame and any pan. Width runs from a 15-inch burner-set zone to a generous 36 inch. A cooktop has no oven of its own, so it pairs with a separate wall oven.
